A 19-year-old has been brought before Ballymena Magistrates charged with the murder of a man whose body was found after a fire at a flat in Co Antrim.

The body of 35 year-old William Meek was discovered in the flat at Causeway Street in Portrush on Wednesday.

He was originally from the Rathcoole area on the outskirts of north Belfast.

Glen Allen from Glenarm Avenue in the town was remanded in custody at a special sitting of Ballymena Magistrates Court.
