A woman in her 70s has been killed in a road collision in Co Donegal this evening.

The woman was a passenger in one of the cars that collided at Dún Lúiche, Falcarragh, Co Donegal shortly before 5pm.

The driver of one of cars, a man in his 70s, the female driver of the other car and two passengers have been taken to hospital in Letterkenny.

Gardaí are at the scene and the road has been closed.

Separately, A 43-year-old man has been killed in a crash involving two trucks on the N11 in Co Wexford.

The man has been named as Paul Walsh from Ballyfermot in Dublin.

The collision happened on the Ferns side of Camolin at around 11am this morning.

The driver of the other truck was seriously injured.

Separately, the N13 Letterkenny to Ballybofey road reopened this morning at Kilross following a serious collision yesterday afternoon.

Diversions were in place earlier today.

A 34-year-old car driver died in the crash, which also involved a Bus Éireann bus.

The victim has been named as Bernard Doherty of Coolboy, Letterkenny.
