A 48-year-old businessman and his 26-year-old daughter have been sent forward for trial on charges of the possession of child pornography.
The two accused appeared at a sitting of the Longford District Court this morning and have been remanded on continuing bail until their trial on 22 April.
Thomas McNally, from Foynes Court in Longford, appeared at the District Court in the town today charged with two offences of knowingly having images of child pornography in his possession at his home on 6 and 7 February last year.
At the same court the man's 26-year-old daughter, Tanya Mulryan, was also charged with two offences of the possession of images of child pornography at the same address last February.
Judge John Neilan was told today that the book of evidence and an additional book of evidence had been served on both of the accused today.
The court was also told that the DPP had consented to the two defendants being sent forward for trial in the Circuit Court and Judge Neilan re-fixed bail for each of the accused.
