Gardaí are investigating a road accident in which a man died yesterday evening.
The man in his 40s was struck by a van at Blackwood Lane in Portmarnock at around 7.15pm.
He was taken by ambulance to Beaumont Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the van was not injured.
