Three people have been killed in separate road accidents in counties Dublin, Wexford and Kerry today.

A 63-year-old female pedestrian died after she was hit by a truck in Dublin this afternoon.

Gardaí say the accident happened at Doyle's Corner in Phibsboro at 1pm.

The woman was brought to the Mater Hospital, where she later died from her injuries.

In Co Wexford, a 28-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a car in Ballyknock, Ballymitty, shortly after 8am.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was taken to Wexford General Hospital.

And a man died in a two-car collision in Co Kerry at around 8am.

James Nelson, 65, from Kilmacalogue, Lauragh, Killarney, was the driver of one of the two cars involved in the crash.

The crash happened in Ardtully in Kilgarvan.

Elsewhere, a man who died after a road accident in Co Louth on 11 December has been named.

19-year-old Mark King from Ballygowan, Ardee, died one day after his vehicle was in collision with another car at Rathescar Cross, Dunleer.

Gardaí are investigating the collision.
