The RTÉ broadcaster, Paddy O'Gorman has begun a High Court libel action against the Ireland on Sunday newspaper.
The case centres on the 2003 RTÉ reality show 'Celebrity Farm'.
Mr O'Gorman says the article published in September 2003, headlined 'We were the real animals of celebrity farm fiasco' was defamatory of him and was totally untrue and wrong.
The jury was told that the article contained an interview with another participant in the show, Gavin Lambe Murphy.
