Two women have died in two separate road accident in counties Sligo and Derry.
A 48-year-old pedestrian died after being struck by a car at Corballa, Enniscrone, Sligo.
Gardaí are investigating the accident, which happened at 5pm yesterday afternoon.
Separately, a woman died following a two-vehicle collision in Co Derry.
The accident happened on the Duncastle Road at Newbuildings shortly before 6pm yesterday evening.
A man and a woman taken to hospital following the crash are said to be in a serious condition.
Elsewhere, a woman in her late teens is being treated at Waterford Regional Hospital after being struck by a car.
The incident happened on the Old Kilmeaden Road at around 3am this morning.
The woman sustained serious leg injuries.
Gardaí in Waterford are investigating.
