Rail services returned to normal this morning after more than 10,000 commuters had to find another way home last night.

The major disruption was due to damaged overhead lines near Connolly Station.

All services to destinations like Belfast, Sligo, Maynooth, Howth and Malahide were affected.

Work on repairing the damage went on well into the night in order to get the routes ready for the morning commute.
