Bilal Abdullah was tonight charged with conspiring to cause explosions over the London and Glasgow car bomb plots.

Mr Abdullah, a doctor at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley, Scotland, was arrested on Saturday after a flaming Jeep was driven at the arrivals hall of Glasgow Airport.

He was later transferred to London's Paddington Green police station for questioning.

Another man arrested at the scene is being treated for burns.
