Three people have died in two separate road accidents in Wicklow and Limerick.
Two men, believed to be in their 20s, died following a two-car collision on the N11 at Ballinameesda bends in Co Wicklow.
The men died when their car was in collision with another vehicle at 8.40am this morning.
The road was closed for technical examination but has since reopened.
Separately, a woman in her 60s was killed in a road accident in Limerick city.
It happened at around 7.30am this morning in the Annacotty area when her car was in collision with a truck.
The Limerick City Ring Road was closed between the Tipperary road roundabout and the roundabout behind the Roxboro swimming pool but has also reopened.
Traffic was this morning reported to be very heavy throughout the city, particularly inbound on the N7 Dublin road and on the N24 Tipperary road.
