The Armagh to Monaghan cross-border road has been re-opened following a collision outside Middletown early this morning.

Three people in their late teens have been admitted to hospital following the collision on the Monaghan to Armagh road near Middletown.

The most seriously injured of the three youths, who is in his late teens, is in a critical condition at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.

The other two who were injured remain in hospital at Craigavon.

According to the PSNI, the youths were travelling in a Citroen Saxo vehicle.

The cross-border road was closed for a time and traffic diversions were put in place.
