Gardaí in Galway are investigating the discovery of a cache of firearms in a housing estate on the eastern side of the city.
The haul included two shotguns, a pistol and an air rifle.
The guns were found following a garda search in the Monivea Park area of the city yesterday afternoon.
They have now been taken to Garda Headquarters in Galway for forensic examination.
