The owners of a Russian cargo ship have arrived in Dublin to answer claims that the crew is owed tens of thousands of euro in back pay.
Yesterday, inspectors from the International Transport Federation secured a High Court order to have the Merchant Brilliant detained at Dublin Port.
The Federation's inspectors say they have uncovered evidence of systematic underpayment and claim that the 20 Latvian and Russian crew members may be owed as much as €150,000 in back pay.
The Merchant Brilliant is chartered by a British company but the problem lies with a complex web of companies in Russia and Latvia responsible for its crewing and ownership.
While no time has been set for the meeting, which was expected to take place today, inspector Ken Fleming has said he is ready to meet the owners as soon as they make themselves available.
Earlier this month, its sister ship, the Merchant Bravery, was involved in a similar controversy and had to pay thousands in back pay.
