Survivors and families of those who died in the Stardust fire in north Dublin have returned to the scene of the disaster to protest against the proposed opening of a new bar on the site.
Earlier, the Taoiseach told the Dáil that if any new evidence emerged about the tragedy, the Department of Justice and the gardaí would look at it again.
Mr Ahern also said he had no problem meeting the families of the victims.
The Minister for Trade, Enterprise and Employment, Micheál Martin has said that recent legislation brought in by the Minister for Justice might be used to inquire into what happened on the night of the Stardust tragedy.
Speaking on RTÉ's Questions and Answers programme last night, Mr Martin said the Commission of Investigation opened up the options of different formats of inquiries.
Today marks the 25th anniversary of the tragedy in which 48 young people from Dublin were killed when the nightclub in Artane went on fire.
