The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, is to meet British Prime Minister Tony Blair in Downing Street some time next week.
Discussions will centre on recent developments in the peace process primarily in the aftermath of the IRA decommissioning announcement.
It is expected that Mr Ahern will meet DUP leader Ian Paisley shortly, but firm arrangements have yet to be made.
