Gardaí have begun a murder inquiry following the discovery of a man's body in Ballsbridge in Dublin yesterday.
A post mortem examination has established that the man, a Croatian, died from stab wounds. He was found at the Pembroke Road apartment yesterday afternoon.
The victim has now been named as Croatian national Eldin Palangic. He was 38 years old and is thought to have been in the country for the past 12 years. Gardaí say he had been working as a chef in Blackrock.
Gardaí at Donnybrook in Dublin have appealed for anyone who knew the victim, or anyone who may have seen him over the past few days to come forward.
