Britain's Advertising Standards Authority has reprimanded Ryanair for two of its advertisements for cheap fares. The authority described them as misleading.
In an adjudication, published today, the authority asked the airline to be more precise about its offers in future, including details contained in the small print.
In one advertisement, Ryanair said that a particular offer was open for every seat on every flight. However, included in the small print was the detail that weekend supplements applied.
In the other case, a person who responded to an e-mail offer for a cheap flight was told that it applied only to midweek.
