A Dublin man was found not guilty of murder at a special sitting of the Central Criminal Court. The jury found Dubliner, David Thomas, not guilty of murdering another man in a Finglas pub brawl, by a majority of 11 to 1 after considering their verdict for just under four hours. Thirty-four-year-old David Thomas of Cloonlara Crescent, Finglas in Dublin, had denied the murder of 23-year-old Eamon O'Reilly of Sandyhill Gardens, Ballymun, in the Dublin pub on January 11 1998.
