A 25-year-old Englishman, who was wounded during the murder of the Dublin drug dealer Derek Dunne in the Netherlands three months ago, has been freed on bail by a court in Amsterdam. He is due before a court in the city again in December, charged with trafficking five kilogrammes of cannabis resin.
The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was shot in the stomach during an incident in which Mr Dunne was shot dead in front of his house in the city. A Dutch man who was also wounded in the incident remains in a coma. Two Yugoslav nationals have been charged in connection with the murder of Mr Dunne, and are due before the courts next month. Two other Yugoslav men are being sought in connection with the killing, which is believed to be linked to the drugs trade.
