Roscommon Gaels and Crossmolina of Mayo have drawn at Hyde Park in the Connacht Senior Football Club Championship final today. It was the Gaels second final in a row after losing the decider last year to Ballina. Crossmolina were without inter-county star Keiran McDonald but showed little ill effect as the game finished 0-9 a-piece. In Ulster Enniskillen Gaels of Fermanagh lost 0-10 to 0-9 to All-Ireland Champions Crossmaglen Rangers of Armagh in Clones in the final.

In Leinster Na Fianna of Dublin took on Portlaoise in Newbridge. The match finished 1-13 to 0-10 in favour of the Dublin side after a decisive second half display from Dublin star Dessie Farrell while Sarsfields of Kildare had a comprehensive victory over Killanerin of Wexford 0-11 to 0-5 in Carlow in the semi-finals. In hurling, the Railway Cup final between Connacht and Munster was played at Semple Stadium, Thurles and the Westerners just managed a 2-13 to 1-15 victory.

In the Meath Senior football final Skryne had seven points to spare over Dunshaughlin at Navan (2.30pm). Skryne were backed by county and international stars Trevor Giles and John McDermott.

Fermanagh had a 0-18 to 0-09 victory over Tipperary in yesterday's All-Ireland 'B' semi-final. Tipperary had better luck in the South-East hurling league yesterday where they had a 0-12 to 1-5 victory over Dublin.

Elsewhere, UCC took on Rathgormack of Waterford to decide who would meet Doonbeg of Clare in the Munster Club football final. That match was at Pairc Ui Rinn and it finished a draw, UCC 0-12 Rathgormack 1-9. The replay will be played next Saturday at 2.00pm.
