Gardaí are still questioning six people following raids on the homes of suspected dissident Republicans in the Southeast this morning. The five men and one woman are being held in Counties Wicklow and Wexford under the Offences Against the State Act. They are thought to have links to the so-called Continuity IRA. The arrests coincide with a new warning from the RUC Chief Constable, Sir Ronnie Flanagan, that renegade paramilitaries are planning a major bomb attack in the near future.
