As part of this year's broadcast from the West Cork Chamber Musical in Bantry, Paul Herriott will present a series of concerts from Bantry House and St. Brendan's Church, broadcast live on RTÉ lyric fm.
At 10.30pm RTÉ lyric fm's coverage of the West Cork Chamber Music Festival continues when Ellen is joined, live from Bantry House, by Paul Herriott who introduces tonight's late night concert. Titled Endgame, pianist Finghin Collins performs Schubert's Sonata in B flat, the composer's final sonata before his death.

Our coffee concert at 11.00am comes live from the West Cork Chamber Music Festival in St. Brendan’s church, Bantry where Paul Herriott presents the Chiaroscuro Quartet playing Mozart‘s Quartet in E flat and Beethoven’s Quartet No.6 in B flat. Formed in 2005, the Chiaroscuro Quartet comprises violinists Alina Ibragimova (Russia) and Pablo Hernán Benedí (Spain), the Swedish violist Emilie Hörnlund and cellist Claire Thirion from France. They perform music of the Classical and early Romantic periods on gut strings and with historical bows. Their growing discography includes recordings of music by Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert and Mendelssohn. The Chiaroscuro Quartet was a prize-winner of the German Förderpreis Deutschlandfunk/Musikfest Bremen in 2013 and received Germany’s most prestigious CD award, the Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik in 2015 for their recording of Mozart’s Quartet in D minor and Mendelssohn’s Second string quartet in A minor.

The Festival Trio of pianist Barry Douglas, Viviane Hagner violin and cellist Johannes Moser perform Tchaikovsky's Piano Trio in A minor. Subtitled In memory of a great artist, this vast romantic work was dedicated to his mentor and friend Nicholas Rubinstein.
