Music for three princesses this morning - one with very long hair, one who loved to sleep and one who travelled about in a pumpkin! Plus the story of The Little Fiddle!

    Sunday April 26th
William Walton wrote a set of piano pieces for his niece Elizabeth to play but they were too difficult for her, so he re-wrote them as duets for her to play with her brother Michael. We'll hear some of his Music for Children this morning, including Hop-Scotch and The Three-Legged Race. We'll also hear music that George Gershwin wrote for the cities of New York and Paris.

    Sunday May 3rd
George Philip Telemann loved writing music but decided to study law instead. But when a friend heard how wonderful his music was, he secretly sent it to some musicians to be performed without Telemann knowing! We’ll find about more about this great composer on Sunday and we’ll hear some of the 3,000 pieces of music he wrote! We’ll also different types of music played on the clarinet, including part of Mozart’s famous Concerto in A.
