Guest presenter Michael Comyn introduces music for Sunday afternoon including a concert from the Pau Casals Festival. Join him for Mozart’s String Quartet No 16 in E flat K428 and César Franck’s Piano Quintet in D minor, all played by Quatuor Zaide (pictured) with Éric Le Sage piano.
Today's concert features Max Bruch’s violin concerto No 1 in G minor with soloist Nikolaj Znaider and the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana conducted by Vladimir Ashkenazy as well as the Peer Gynt Suite No 1 by Edvard Grieg, a concert recorded in Lugano in Switzerland. Joanna MacGregor is one of the world’s most innovative and creative pianists. This afternoon Aedín includes her recordings of Bach, Ravel and Gershwin. (Joanna MacGregor - photo c\o Pal Hansen)
