New docs include, Hacked looking at the growth of cyber-crime, Cloud Control: Who Owns Your Data?, about big data and the third instalment of Making Ireland Click authored by David Puttnam. Nationwide will mark Science Week with a special programme featuring three science-themed reports. Ladies of Science, a new drama documentary, set in Ireland, tells the true story of Lady Mary Rosse and Mary Ward, who had a passion for science and technology.
NEW SERIES - 10 Things to Know About
The series returns to showcase the weird and wonderful Irish science behind aspects of modern life. The first episode, Staying Young, looks at how Irish science strives to help us stay healthy for longer. RCSI’s Prof Fergal O’Brien studies children’s bones for a cure to osteoporosis, DCU’s Prof Oliver Dolly develops a variant of Botox to treat chronic pain and UCD’s Prof Emma Teeling finds out why bats don’t age.

For younger viewers, ‘Phil the Science Guy’ will make an appearance in a new RTÉjr series, POP Goes The Weekend, starts Saturday 19th November and Swipe TV will feature a range of science-themed content throughout the week.
