Coming off the back of the success of the bigger Kodiaq SUV - demand has way outstripped supply - Skoda's more compact Karoq will be seen at next month's Frankfurt motor show and will arrive in Ireland in December in time for 181 registrations.

Some details about the car have been released ahead of launch, including the fact that a 1.5 TSi petrol engine will be featured as well as a digital display system. Skoda in Ireland says it has seen increased demand for better equipped cars so won't be introducing an entry-level model. In the case of the Kodiaq only two per cent of customers opted for the base model.
