On Sunday night we watched Jake Carter, Erin McGregor, Anna Geary, Rob Heffernan, Maia Dunphy, pro-dancers Karen Byrne and Ksenia Zsikhotska, Stylist Clémentine MacNeice and Snapchat star James Patrice walk into Dublin's Mansion House.
Nope, it wasn't a Dancing with the Stars reunion we had stumbled upon; the celebs were dressed in their glad rags for the 43rd People of the Year Awards, hosted by Gráinne Seoige and Aidan Power.
Dressed in a sharp blue suit from ej menswear, Jake Carter said that he was delighted to be invited to the event because it was a chance to "celebrate everyday heroes". Watch his interview in the video above.
The singer has had a busy few weeks since winning the dancing competition with pro-dancer Karen Byrne.
"It's been an absolute whirlwind since the end of Dancing with the Stars, we've done so much.
"I went straight on tour, I've been on tour for the last two weeks and then myself and Karen have been doing TV and radio and it's just been crazy. I haven't stopped smiling."
Fitness model and DWTS semi-finalist Erin McGregor said that the People of the Year Awards were a great way to gain perspective.
"With everything that goes on in social media, sometimes it's really good to remind yourself what's really going on in the world.
"There are such amazing people out there."
Wearing a leather corset gown from House of CB, the Dublin woman told RTÉ LifeStyle that Dancing with the Stars has given her a new lease on life.
"I'm actually feeling really good. I've been getting up, I've been motivated - even down to just getting out on walks and getting back training."
While we had her in our reach, we had to steal a moment with Clementine MacNeice to find out where the Stylist had shopped her look.
"The dress is from ASOS and it was €33, I think. The jacket is River Island, the bag is about 15-years-old and the earrings are Mango," she said.
The winners of the 43rd People of the Year Awards were announced live on RTÉ One last night but you can watch it back on RTÉ Player now.
