Gay Byrne chatted to the the 18 year old future broadcaster Gabby Logan about why her career as an international rhythmic gymnast ended.

When Gay Byrne asked about her future plans, Gabby foreshadowed her successful career as a television presenter.

I want to go into television. I want your job. I would like to present. I would like to be a television presenter ultimately. 

For her party piece, Gabby recited the poem ‘Albert and The Lion’ by Marriott Edgar.
