After 10 gruelling, sweat inducing, emotionally challenging weeks, the final of MasterChef 2014 is finally here!
This week, our chefs have returned from South Africa rejuvenated, inspired and hungry to take home the title of MasterChef Ireland. Only one can win and our three finalists Edel, Diana and Niamh aren’t going down without a fight!
This week, they face their toughest challenge yet - they must develop and cook their very own three course menu to present to judges Nick and Dylan, all in just three short hours. They have proven their dedication so far, but now, more than ever, they must remind the judges of their flare and creativity. The heat is on as our contestants step into the MasterChef kitchen for the last time to cook a meal worthy of the title they covet most.
Our three leading ladies present their menus to the judges and get to cooking up a storm. Throughout the series, Diana has been a strong contender for the crown and for her final showdown brings her A-game to the table. Niamh, who came under fire throughout the competition for her safe concoctions and delicacy in presentation, steps it up a notch as things heat up, but could she be taking too big a risk with her adventurous menu this late in the game? Edel’s menu makes a big impression on the judges and they have high hopes when she steps into the kitchen. Will the real thing impress just as much?
With the competition still wide open, this week it’s all to play for when our contestants push themselves to the limit, we see some adventurous concoctions and some questionably prepared meat...
On Wednesday's show the ladies present the judges with their dishes and one of them will be crowned the winner of MasterChef Ireland!
Tune into RTÉ One on Tuesday at 8:30pm and for the grand finale on Wednesday at 8:30pm to find out who comes out on top.
