The Cliff Townhouse Oyster Festival is returning for its third year this September.

September marks the start of oyster season and to celebrate, The Cliff Townhouse on Dublin's St Stephens Green is hosting a series of events throughout the month.

Visitors can enjoy seafood along with drinks that perfectly match, a line-up of interesting talks, an oyster masterclass and oyster menu specials throughout the month.

The Oyster Tasting Menu from the Cliff Townhouse's head chef Sean Smith will run for the month from Friday September 5, and will feature dishes such as native, Rockefeller, tempura, Vietnamese and beetroot oysters and wasabi caviar with radish oysters. It costs €18 per person or €30 with a glass of Moët & Chandon Champagne.

The oyster masterclass with Sean Smith takes place on September 6 and costs €30 per person, and will cover how to choose and buy the freshest oysters as well as the ever tricky topic of opening, then preparing and cooking with oysters.

There will be a special Oyster Brunch with live music and oyster shucking demonstrations on September 7.
