Irish food and drink producers have much to celebrate this week as the Great Taste Awards 2022 saw 16 three-star awards (the highest accolade) awarded to brands across Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Run by the Guild of Fine Food in the UK, the awards are known as the world's most trusted food and drink awards.

To keep such a standard, a highly-qualified panel of judges made up of food buyers, chefs, restaurateurs, producers, critics, writers and journalists, are invited to test the products, each of which have been stripped of their packaging and branding.

This year, an incredible 5,383 products from 110 countries were given awards out of more than 14,000 entries.
