Now in its third season, Tastes Like Home is back and delving ever deeper into the lives of people living abroad, tradition and the food that roots us to home.

In tonight's episode, Catherine flies to Stockholm where she meets Anders, a food enthusiast who shows her how to cook a Swedish Smörgåsbord with meatballs, lingonberry jelly and pickled cucumbers for his daughter Marie who now lives in the Gap of Dunloe in Kerry.

Anders shows Catherine the old town before showing her some of Stockholm's most incredible sights including; a Jumbo Jet hotel; the world’s longest art exhibit (110 kilometres!); the Skyview gondola and, of course, a food tour to taste some of the best local cuisines.

When she returns to Ireland, Catherine visits Ander’s daughter Marie and her husband Jason Walsh in Killarney to bring her a taste of home. Marie moved from Sweden over nine years ago and still misses all the tasteful delights of Swedish food.

Hopefully, the homesick Marie will enjoy the Irish Smörgåsbord of Smoked Salmon, Prawn Toast, Beetroot Apple salad, Sweet and Sour Vegetables that Catherine makes for her.

Tastes Like Home airs on Monday 5th November,  RTÉ One at 7.30 PM
