AMI, the contemporary French menswear label, launches an exclusive collaboration collection with e-tailer MR PORTER.
33-year old Alexandre Mattiussi launched Ami in 2011, having spent years specialising his menswear craft with the likes of Dior, Givenchy and Marc Jacobs.
Launched this week, Mattiussi's capsule collection for MR PORTER is built up on wardrobe essentials and entitled 'Les bords du Canal Saint Martin'; the clothes and accessories are easy-going, elegant but also interchangeable, fitting in to the wardrobes of a diverse cross-section of men, and always based on suave Parisien cool.
Colours of burgundy and blue bookmark the collection, which is focused on lightweight summer tailoring, also keeping in mind the sometimes turbulent and undependable summer weather. Comprising of 13 pieces, the collection includes the label's staple items of slim chinos and Breton tops.
Ami is second in the e-tailer's series of exclusive capsule collections coming this summer. Beams Plus was the first, and Raf Simons and Alexander Wang are set to launch in the coming weeks.
