Chanel's latest edition to the Vitalumiere foundation family is a compact powder, but how does it compare to the existing products?
Vitalumiere Aqua is one of my absolute favourite foundations (read my review here) with it's beautifully light but perfecting finish. The Vitalumiere Aqua compact was another hit, giving slightly heavier coverage in a handy compact for touch-ups on the go.
Now the range has welcomed a powder compact foundation to the mix, but this is completely different to any others I've tried before.
This wonderfully lightweight powder is housed in a gorgeous sleek black compact, complete with a large mirror and applicator sponge.
You can apply with the sponge for heavier coverage, or use a powder brush to lightly dust over your face, which is the way I have mostly used it.
It feels utterly weightless and comfortable on the skin, and gives a surprisingly radiant finish, given that powders are known for a flat, matte look.
There are six shades in the range and I recommend choosing a shade darker than your usual Chanel foundation shade as it comes up quite pale on your skin.
Chanel Vitalumiere Compact Douceur, €52, refills are €39.50. Available from Chanel counters nationwide.
