He's well used to making headlines with his fashion choices and last night Lil Nas X outdid himself with two bold and dramatic outfits.

The Old Town Road singer joined a bevy of A-list stars as the BET Awards took place in the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, with Megan Thee Stallion, Taraji P. Henson and Queen Latifah just some of the big names walking the red carpet that night.

The young rapper held his own as always, though, strutting his stuff on the BET red carpet, as one of the performers of the night. He dressed to impress in a dramatic floral design by Richard Quinn, one of the two dazzling outfits he rocked.

Since breaking into the music scene in 2019, Lil Nas X has pushed the boundaries of men's fashion, turning heads in everything from a pink leather suit to a red tartan skirt.

His first look of the night was a striking three-piece Andrea Grossi suit in the style of an 18th century pannier. Featuring trousers with a wide silhouette from the hips – rather than the traditional skirt – with a bodice and slim jacket, all in a blue toile pattern depicting an 18th century village, the look was theatrically and daring.

But it was his second look we were most excited about, as the star chose a suit by London-Irish designer Richard Quinn. Known for his edgy designs that blend maximalism patterns with exaggerated silhouettes, Quinn is one of the most exciting designers of the moment and beloved by Kylie Jenner, Dua Lipa and more.

Lil Nas X chose a 70's inspired suit, featuring flared bell bottom trousers and sharply tailored blazer, both in a romantic pink rose pattern and edged with heavy white lace patterns embellished with crystals. Fitted at the waist, the blazer featured statement lapels and wide pockets above each hip.

He accessorised his look with simple diamond stud earrings, some silver rings and a pair of platform heels to add to the 70's look.
