Last night, the GLAAD Media Awards 2020 took place with a star-studded virtual ceremony.

Held by the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, the awards honour LGBTQ+ excellence in the media, focusing on music, TV and film.

Despite having to scale back the event and go online for the first time, there was no shortage of stylish appearances from award recipients, presenters and performers.

Here are all the best fashion moments last night’s event…

Chloe X Halle

Sisters Chloe and Halle Bailey paid homage to pop icons the Spice Girls with a fabulous pre-recorded performance of ‘Do It’ from the new album ‘Ungodly Hour’.

Joined by Ru Paul’s Drag Race stars Naomi Smalls, Vanessa Vanjie Mateo, and Mayhem Miller, the fivesome were dressed up like Sporty, Scary, Ginger, Baby and Posh, complete with Nineties space buns and platform-soled trainers.

Charli XCX

Also giving us Nineties fashion vibes was Charli XCX, who was on hand to present the Outstanding Music Artist award.

The British singer sported a grey and neon ‘super crop top’ – a trend we’ve been seeing a lot of pop stars lately – which she teamed with classic gold hoop earrings and a sleek scraped-back hairstyle.

Demi Lovato

Demi Lovato made an appearance to introduce a performance by fellow singer Shea Diamond.

The American pop star last week announced her engagement to boyfriend Max Ehrich and it looks like she decided to rewear the white ruched dress seen in her engagement photos for the GLAAD Awards, complete with the same bright red lip and horseshoe-shaped earrings.

Dwayne Wade and Gabrielle Union

Presenting the award for Outstanding Drama Series, Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union paid tribute to daughter Zaya, saying they were "proud parents of a transgender child".

Former basketballer Wade looked dapper in a minimalist double-breasted suit, while Union teamed an oversized patchwork leather jacket with matching hot pants by LA-based brand No Sesso.

Lil Nas X

After the phenomenal success of hit single ‘Old Town Road’ it’s no surprise Lil Nas X took home the Outstanding Music Artist award.

Known for his fashion-forward ensembles, the American artist didn’t disappoint last night, donning a beautiful sheer striped blouse with ruffled collar and cuffs to accept his award.
