It was a busy day for Kate Middleton, between the Commonwealth Day service and hosting a reception for one of her patronages, but that didn't mean she cut corners when it came to glamour.
The Duchess of Cambridge looked particularly regal at the reception for children's charity Place2Be, rewearing a royal blue beaded gown by Jenny Packham, a piece she first wore in 2016 while in Mumbai.
The ornate full-length gown made quite an impression when she first wore it to a Bollywood film reception, and came with a delicate matching shawl.
Last night, however, Kate restyled the piece as a romantic and vibrant look. Featuring intricate floral beading across the arms and bodice, as well as a flattering wide scoop neckline and sheer sleeves, the bold blue gown popped against Kate's clear skin and bouncy curls.
Adding to the romance, the gown billows into a pleated train at the back, ensuring Kate makes a grand entrance wherever she goes. Made from delicate silk, the gown was hand-beaded in India and is a true work of art, as were the matching scalloped shawl and beaded blue clutch bag that Kate originally paired it with.
Kate had previously worn the gown with a pair of strappy black sandals, but last night opted for a chic pair of glittering silver heels by Jimmy Choo in her favourite Romy style.
She continued the floral theme of the dress in her choice of accessories, opting for the "Blue Crystal and Pearl Embellished Floral Drop" pair by Erdem, featuring clusters of blue crystals and white pearls. Kate also brought out the original matching clutch bag by Jenny Packham.

The Duchess wore her hair down for the occasion, her new shorter cut curled into subtle waves that framed her face. Embracing more spring-appropriate colours, her makeup was light and peachy, with a glossy lip and fresh colour in her cheeks.
