Dancing with the Stars has a brand new stylist this year and, by the sounds of things, she has big plans for hosts Jennifer Zamparelli and Nicky Byrne. Watch our interview with Fiona Fagan above.

Originally from Dublin, Fiona Fagan started her career as a dancer before transitioning to become a fit model - someone that fashion designers use to check the fit and appearance of a design - which eventually led her to styling.

Having spent the past 21 years living in London, Fagan has created quite the portfolio for herself. Her celebrity clients include Frankie Bridge of The Saturdays and Caroline Flack, who she styled for Love Island.

As for her editorial styling work, Fiona recently styled the front over of Image magazine.  However, the stylist says she decided to return to Dublin in April for a change in pace:

"I was there for so long and I had changed as a person. I wanted to be able to see the sea and see the mountains. I didn't want to kill somebody on the tube every morning, which I felt I wanted to do by the end," she laughed.

"Dublin is a new city to me," she continued. "I haven't been here for so long but there's so much going on. I really feel like creatively, it's booming. It's buzzing."

As a fashion stylist and brand consultant, Fiona has a love for high fashion and plans to dress Jennifer Zamparelli in a slew of dazzling, lesser-known designers.

"Jen is just an absolutely bloody dream," smiles Fiona. "She's so fun, relatable, accessible, she's got an amazing figure, she's easy, she gets it. It's just really easy. Nicky is just sound, he's funny and easy too. They're open to ideas.

"With Jen, we're trying to take it up a notch this year. I want to go a bit more designer at points but, obviously, have high street as well and keep it relatable. She's like a clothes horse so I'd like to get her in some premium things."

What kind of premium designers you may ask? Well, Fiona says her time working in London introduced her to a number of edgy fashion brands that she would love to introduce to Irish audiences through her role on Dancing with the Stars.

With Harvey Nichols "on board", Fagan says she wants to bring brands that "people might not necessarily know about " such as De Le Vali and The Vampire's Wife.

"I just want to give a shout out to those brands that I know and I love and I know will be great here but aren't so big yet," she said. "That's what I can bring to the show."

Dancing with the Stars continues on Sunday at 6:30pm on RTÉ One.
