The 2019 Creative Arts Emmy Awards took place on September 14th and 15th in the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. Click through our gallery above to see what Kim K and Chris O'Dowd wore while walking the red carpet.

The Creative Arts Emmys are a class of awards that celebrate all the hard work that happens behind the scenes on the small screen, focusing on the outstanding artistic and technical achievements on hit TV series, as well as work in animation, reality and documentary categories.

Unsurprisingly, the biggest winner of the two nights was HBO's Game of Thrones which brought home ten Emmys, while heartwarming lifestyle show Queer Eye garnered four awards and HBO's Chernobyl took seven.

Most importantly of all, our very own Chris O'Dowd won 'Outstanding Actor in a Short-Form Comedy or Drama Series' for his role in State of the Union.

The actor, who hails from Boyle, Co. Roscommon, tweeted his reaction in his typically funny form:

"Quite a night. I won an Emmy and I met three people from Cork. I knew they were from Cork, because the second sentence they used each time was 'I'm from Cork.' "Hiya, I’m Madge, I’m from Cork" "congrats man what a load a shite tho, I’m from Cork". You get the gist. #HappyOut

O'Dowd attended the event with his wife, author Dawn O'Porter, who shared a series of photos from the night on her Instagram account, as well a hilarious step by step make-up tutorial ahead of her appearance on the red carpet.
