It’s already that time of year again with darker evenings, cosy pyjamas and Christmas gift shopping. Whether you’re after an office secret Santa present, stocking filler or even a little something for yourself, I’ve compiled a list below of some lust-worthy gifts that won’t break the bank.

1. Huda Beauty Obsessions Palettes €28
Not only are these palettes makeup bag friendly but they’ve also got serious pigmentation that really packs a punch. These are my go to palettes when I’m packing my makeup bag and are available in a variety of colour stories taking inspirations from precious stones.

My top picks are the Ruby and Topaz palettes, Ruby being more fiery with crimson and burgundy tones and Topaz being more neutral with some orange undertones. All palettes in the collection have a good variety of matte and shimmer textures meaning you can create a multitude of looks which should cover you for any silly season night out. In terms of quality, I found the pigmentation to be fantastic.

Each matte shade is really easy to blend and the shimmer shades are quite smooth in texture while still having a really good glitter payoff. This means you get the sparkle we all lust after during the Christmas party season while still being super comfortable and long-wearing.

2. Charlotte Tilbury Mini Hollywood Liquid Lipstick Charms (set of 2) €21
If you’re familiar at all with Charlotte Tilbury then you’ll know that her products while beautiful do tend to be more on the higher end price-wise which is why I think this duo is such good value and something any beauty lover would love to receive.

You receive two liquid lipsticks in the Tilbury trademark rose-gold packaging and are bestsellers from the range. The shades are ‘Too Bad I’m Bad' (a rose/pinky-nude) and the other ‘Show Girl’ (berry/mauve undertone) both of which are quite neutral and great day to day colours.

The formula contains a mixture of beeswax and Sea Lavender which promotes hydration which means the formula should be long lasting and not too drying on the lips.

3. Benefit The Blush Bunch Bronzer & Blush Set €27
I think at this stage everyone is familiar with Benefit's famous Hoola bronzer. It’s a long standing makeup bag cult favourite. This set is comprised of a selection of 6 Benefit bronzers and blushers, it includes the classic ‘Hoola’, ‘Hoola Lite’ (great for those of us who switch between shades depending on tan) as well as ‘Gold Rush’, ‘GALifornia’, 'Rockateur' and 'Dandelion' which ranges from rose gold/pink to peach hues. Each compact is a decent size which means you can change up you blush/bronzer look to your heart's content.

4. Origins Mini Mask Musts Set €16.50
I know myself that during the Christmas season between back to back nights out, freezing cold weather conditions and indoor heating my skin needs an extra bit of TLC. The main way I look after my skin is using face masks and boy, do I love a set.

This set has 5 taster-sizes of their best-selling masks that are designed to tackle different skin types and concerns including ‘Clear Improvement’ which clears pores and is more suited to combo/oily skin types. ‘Drink Up’ s a hydrating mask which can be left on overnight and is perfect for drier skin. ‘Original Skin’ is great for brightening. ‘Out of Trouble’ is ideal for blemish prone skin and finally ‘Ginzing’ which is a peel off mask designed to refresh the skin.

5. The Skin Nerd book by Jennifer Rock €19.99
If you don’t already know of ‘The Skin Nerd’ Jennifer Rock, she’s Ireland’s award winning queen of all things skin.
