There's no doubt about it, Twitter has fallen in love with #DancingDessie on Dancing with the Stars Ireland.
We caught up with the sports broadcaster on Sunday night to find out how he is getting on with both the fitness and the fashion on the show. Des Cahill told RTÉ LifeStyle's Soraiya Ryan that he's been delighted with the experience.
"I never thought for a start that I'd be on my knees or dragging women across floors so I'm kind of on the wheel now"
Des says that he has felt both "over-awed" and humbled by the audience's reaction and the overall praise that the show has received.
"I'm delighted that the programme is getting very good reaction about how it looks and not just the dancers because there's massive work, you can probably see, we're backstage now and the amount of work that goes on here, there's carpenters, there's lighting people and the set I think looks fantastic."
Des has been working hard behind the scenes with dance partner Karen Byrne but he says it's the costumes that give him a boost in confidence.
"I actually really felt confident because of the costume!"
