Brown Thomas has launched a special celebration of Irish Craft alongside the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland.

The five-week showcase takes places in a dedicated space on Level 3 of the Grafton Street store and features a selection of covetable Irish-designed and made products.

The retail pop-up shop features the work of 12 designers, both new and established, with prints, candles, ceramics, glass and wooden furniture among the items which can be bought.

There will also be 'Meet The Maker' events and live demonstrations during the Craft & Design initiative, so visitors to Brown Thomas can learn more about the designers and their processes.

The 12 designers featuring in Craft & Design 2016 are Stephen Farnan Studio, Ian Carty, Arran Street East, Clarke’s of Dublin, Whackpack Furniture, Foxford Woollen Mills, Slated, Caulfield Country Boards, Jerpoint Glass Studio, Cloon Keen Atelier, Rathbornes and Max Benjamin.

Karen Hennessy, Chief Executive of the Design & Crafts Council Ireland said of this year's initiative: "We are delighted to be once again collaborating with Brown Thomas, Ireland’s premier luxury retailer, in presenting the work of talented Irish designers and makers to the store’s discerning customers. Everything featured has been Designed & Made in Ireland, reflecting the quality, craftsmanship and innovation for which Ireland is achieving a growing reputation internationally."
