The campaign was shot by world renowned photographer, Annie Leibovitz, who has snapped some of the world’s most famous faces and features 12 women that Marks and Spencer’s have dubbed “Britain’s leading ladies”.

As well as the inspiring ladies mentioned above the photos also feature Olympic gold medal boxer Nicola Adams, artist Tracey Eimm, CEO of Save the Children International Jasmin Whitbread, author Monica Ali, ballerina Darcy Bussell, singer Laura Mvula, Nurse of the Year Helen Allen and burns survivor and TV presenter Katie Piper.

Speaking to Grazia, Executive Director of Marketing and Business Development at M&S, Patrick Bousquet-Chavanne said: “We wanted this campaign to signal a new and confident tone of voice to introduce Autumn.”

He added: “Annie’s photography has become synonymous with defining key moments in the history of brands over the years and, as such, we feel that this campaign is the ideal way to illustrate M&S’ move into a new era.”

All items featured in the new campaign will be available to buy in Marks and Spencer stores and online from September 2013.
