My long-neglected locks were in dire need of some TLC, and I had grown tired of the months-old balyage at the ends of my hair which looked a bit dry.

I've been trying to grow out a blunt bob hairstyle, but it meant my hair was looking a bit listless. Anthony, one of the lovely hairdressers at David Marshall, gave my shoulder-length style a quick update with the addition of 70s style bangs.

I got an all-over semi permanent colour which was a cool-toned chocolate brown shade to counteract the blonde tips on the front of my hair. This had the added bonus of giving my hair great shine.

Danielle then got to work on styling my hair, first blowdrying it meticulously with round brushes, then using a tapered curling tong to create loose, beachy waves.

A quick spritz of Redken's Quick Tease styling spray to add a matte texture as well as hold was the perfect finishing touch to the style.
