He has dad danced all over the Hub all year and now After School Hub's Múinteoir Ray is looking forward to the Christmas break.
Here he tells us about some of his favourite things about this most wonderful time of the year...
First Christmas memory?
My first Christmas memories are the two times that I think I may have caught a glimpse of Santa. One year I just spent the entire Christmas Eve sitting on a bridge and staring at the sky. Maybe at the end I was hallucinating from the exhaustion but I think I might have seen something...The second time was a different year when I think that I heard him. To this day, I'm still not 100% sure.
Fave ever gift/ toy from Santa?
My favourite ever gift from Santa was was a toy jeep that had a NASA space rocket on the back. I hadn't even asked for it, I had only asked Santy for a surprise. What can I say, he's a genius!!
Favourite Christmas Song?
My favourite song is 'Merry Christmas' by Shakin' Stevens, however I only like the version by Limerick punk band, the almighty Givemanakick!!!
Fave Christmas Movie?
That's easy, it's Home Alone. Every year I laugh my Santa-hat off at that movie. The physical comedy is outrageous caper. Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern, John Candy are all ridiculously funny. I love it.
Brussels sprouts yes or no?
Yes! I think over the age of 15, you realise 'actually these things are amazing!' They get a lot of bad press, those little freaky vegetables. But for me, they're just great. With that said, I've never actually cooked any sprouts myself, ever. And I probably never will ...
Stuffing, gravy the works?
Sock it to me, Santa!! Yes, I'll be lashing into Christmas dinner and I can't wait. Everyone deserves a great Christmas this year, so I intend to make the very most of it and I wish everyone else to do the same!! Have a beautiful Christmas, everyone!! Hurrah!!!!
Thanks to everyone for watching After School Hub and you can catch up on RTÉ Player.
