This song was composed recently by Catherine Ann Cullen and relates the story of Brigid's cloak. When the King of Leinster offered to give Brigid only as much land as her little cloak would cover, the cloak magically increased in size - to the amazement of the King! It extended to cover the land which is now known as County Kildare.
