Hundred Square

Use the Hundred Square to figure out the answers to the maths questions below.  Some questions need you to add and some need you to subtract.  You can check your answers at the bottom of the sheet when you're finished, to see how you got on!

Questions

  1. 16 monkeys gathered in a tree to talk about why humans were all staying at home these days.  4 squirrels arrived to join in.  How many creatures were in the tree then?
     
  2. Eric baked 18 cookies for the bake sale.  He is going to bake 15 more by tomorrow morning.  How many cookies will he have for the bake sale then?
     
  3. At the end of the day, there were only 12 packets of toilet paper on the shelf in the shop.  The hard-working staff put 40 more packets of toilet paper on the shelf.  How many were on the shelf for the customers the next day?
     
  4. There were 64 seeds in the bird feeder.  A robin ate 7 of them then a finch ate 13 of them.  How many seeds were left?
     
  5. Michelle was on page 88 of her book but she had to check something that she read 25 pages ago.  What page did she go back to in her book?

Math Maze - Super Six!

Can you help the hedgehog get to the fruit?  Add 6 to the number each time so you know which number to move to next.  Colour in each number as you go.  The first three are done for you as an example.

Colour by Numbers

Work out the answer to each of the sums, then colour in the answer on the butterfly, with the colour shown.  For example, 2 + 1 = 3 so you colour the 3s on the butterfly purple.
