Tá brú níos mó ná riamh ar fheirmeoirí an lae inniu agus iad ag iarraidh dul i ngleic leis na praghsanna ag ardú, le heaspa soláthairtí de thoradh an chogaidh san Úcráin, chomh maith leis an mbrú atá orthu a gcuid modhanna feirmeoireachta a athrú i bhfianaise na géarchéime aeráide. Sa tsraith seo labhrann Treasa Bhreathnach le feirmeoirí de chuile chineál le tuiscint a fháil ar fheirmeoireacht an lae inniu, agus ar an gcaoi atá siad ag déileáil leis na dúshláin atá rompu. Sa chéad chlár seo inniu, faigheann muid léargas ar na deacrachtaí in earnáil na feirmeoireachta ó Chomhfhreagraí Talmhaíochta agus Tomhaltóirí RTÉ Joe Mag Raollaigh, agus tugann an Dr Micheál Ó Cinnéide tuiscint dúinn ar athstruchturú na Seirbhíse Páirceanna Náisiúnta agus Fiadhúlra.

Farmers today are under huge pressure as they try to come to terms with increasing prices, reduced supplies due to the war in Ukraine, as well as the need to change their farming methods in light of the climate crisis. In this summer series, Treasa Bhreathnach speaks to farmers of different kinds in different industries about farming today, and the challenges they face. Today, in the first programme in the series, she speaks to Joe Mag Raollaigh, RTÉ Agriculture and Consumer Affairs Correspondent, about the difficulties in the industry today, and Dr Micheál Ó Cinnéide explains the restructuring of the National Parks and Wildlife service.
