In this episode Aedín Ní Thiarnaigh sets her sights on Ireland’s woodland wildflowers, hoping to learn more about their folklore and wide variety of uses.

Aedín travels to Kerry to learn more about the primrose, meeting with Darach Ó Murchú who shows her how to make a soothing skin lotion from the yellow petals.

In County Limerick, the presenter learns about the medicinal uses associated with another woodland flower, native Irish garlic. She visits Dr Frieda Ní Chatháin, who uses the plant in her homemade cough syrup.

Aedín also meets with herbalist Jörg Müller who shares his unique recipe for refreshing ‘Woodruff Fizz’.
