On the show we commemorate St. Colmcille, who was born 1,500 years ago on the 7th of December 521. We hear how he saved the poets of Ireland from being expelled and about the most important books attributed to him. We'll also hear about the illuminations project Coinneal Cholmcille, which will see images projected onto key sites along the Columban trail in Ireland and Scotland nd how the public can join in the commemoration by lighting a candle at 5.21 pm on December 7th.
